Default W/N AB build

For this weekend's event I kind of threw together this mix of a virulence warrior and a riptose warrior and used it a bit. Seemed to work pretty well and one person actually said I was the "best tank ever" So here it is. (I just want opinions and any suggestions on it.)

Warrior/Necromancer

Attributes:
Swordsmanship: 10 (6+3+1)
Tactics: 10
Death Magic: 12
Strength: 6

Skills:
Healing Signet
Hamstring
Sever Artery
Gash
Virulence
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Sprint

Equipment:
Chest and Leg armor Gladiators
Dreadnought's gauntlets and boots
15 above 50 Furious sword of fortitude
Duelist's helm of superior swordsmanship
-5(20%) +30 tactics shield

Usage is pretty simple, hamstring or build up adrenaline for sever artery at first, use virulence while keeping up riposte and deadly riposte if you have any melle characters attacking you, heal sig when neccessery (virulence will still be degening while you heal and keep up thr ripostes while using heal sig for some protection against the -40 armor against any melles on you.) Sprint+Hamstring against kiters, you get the picture.

Thought it worked well soloing CPs (I mainly used it as a cap and run build) and warriors, assassins, non-curses necro, etc., it was pretty easily countered by a fire or air ele(The only CP in Etnaran Keys I couldn't solo, the elite elementalist ), degen mesmer or necro, etc.

So any comments, flames, suggestions?

It would take a very specialized warrior bar to solo the ele shrine, and he'd suck everywhere else.

I don't like riposte or deadly riposte in pvp, because a smart melee guy will just ignore you, and then you waste two skill slots.

Overall though, the virulence build has always been pretty popular. I don't like hamstring very much though, but it seems reasonably solid (sans the ripostes). I'd heavily consider dropping them for utility like plague touch, and a GOOD attack skill, like final thrust.

Well, sadly, I have yet to see "a smart melee guy" in AB, most of the mending wammos and assassins I encounter attack right through it (I love it when it blocks and assassin's lead attack and he still tries to go on with his combo, brings out the noob in just about every single one of them.) and I have killed many a wammo and assassin with it. But it's mostly just for soloing the elite warrior shrine.

A lot of conventional PvP wisdom doesn't apply to AB because most of the people who AB are either 1) idiots, 2) PvE players, or 3) both. People actually attack warriors quite frequently in AB, even when there's a nice, inviting 60AL target standing right next to them. The monks are generally terrible, so you don't even need good spikes or heavy pressure to drop teams, which is why touch rangers actually work there (the other reason being the free resing).

As for the build itself, I second (or third) the suggestion to use final thrust and plague touch. It's funny to get blinded by a ranger and then turn around and touch it off right back on him.

W/N without Plague Touch doesn't make much sense to me in PvP...

First off, a monk shouldn't need to remove anything from ya most likely if the metagame holds true and you're ignored firstly. [hexes are tougher to remove than conditions]

Since there is no hex transfer skill [good God that'd make life great wouldn't it?] Plague Touch is the W/N's way of saying f*ck you to the poor shmuck who applied said condition.

Unless it's been updated, if you Plague Touch Disease off of you, it won't 'reflect' from the victim you Plagued making it an AWESOME skill to have during Crazy army Degen situations...
